John Langston focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate, banking, finance and general business law.  John’s practice regularly involves representation of the following:

• Title insurance companies in the examination of title and preparation of title opinions for commercial real estate located throughout North and South Carolina

• Buyers and Sellers in connection with the acquisition and disposition of mixed-use, retail, office, industrial, hotel, shopping center, self-storage, single-tenant and multifamily projects throughout North and South Carolina

• Landlords and tenants in the preparation and negotiation of office, industrial and retail leases

• Corporate entities with organizational and other general corporate matters

• Business owners in the purchase and sale of businesses and related assets

• Regional and community banks and other financial institutions in a variety of real estate and commercial lending matters, including SBA 7(a) and 504 loans

John was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended Charlotte Latin School.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor from West Virginia University after completing his third year of law school at the University of North Carolina. When he’s not in the office John enjoys golfing, snow skiing and spending time with his wife and two children.
