Chelsea M. Bauer, Esq.

Chelsea represents clients in the areas of commercial real estate, affordable housing, community development, historic rehabilitation. Chelsea’s practice regularly involves assisting clients in acquisition, construction, development, financing and equity investments in large-scale commercial projects. Chelsea works with developers throughout the Carolinas to utilize (i) low-income housing tax credits to build attractive, affordable housing and (ii) historic and mill credits to rehabilitate historic structures.
Before joining Brockmann Law, Chelsea grew up in the one-stoplight town of Clover, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from College of Charleston as a Palmetto Fellows Scholar before moving to Charlotte to attend Charlotte School of Law. She graduated cum laude as salutatorian of her graduating class.
Chelsea volunteers as a guardian ad litem in Mecklenburg County, working with the Department of Social Services and its many subsets to provide stable homes and custodial arrangements for displaced children. She regularly volunteers with child-focused organizations, including the YMCA Y-Reader Program, Justice Initiative’s summer court camp for teenagers, and as a judge for various student mock trial competitions.
