Todd’s practice focuses on finance and real estate matters, including the representation of developers, lenders and investors in all types of complex financing transactions. Todd has combined his expertise in taxation and real estate to help developers, lenders and investors in the areas of affordable housing utilizing the low income housing tax credit and urban revitalization utilizing the historic rehabilitation and new markets tax credits. Todd has been recognized by Business North Carolina magazine as one of the Legal Elite in North Carolina for 2007, 2008 and 2009. Todd’s practice regularly involves the following:
- Represents developers in matters related to the low-income housing, historic rehabilitation and new markets tax credits, as well as other subsidized finance programs, such as the HOPE VI, CDBG and HOME programs.
- Advises tax credit investors and lenders on Federal and state tax credit investment matters.
- Works with public housing authorities, developers and lenders on large-scale community development matters, including HOPE VI projects.
- Advocates the interests of members of the tax credit industry before local, state and Federal decision-makers.
