Todd’s practice
focuses on business, finance and real estate matters, including the
representation of developers, lenders and investors in all types of
complex financing transactions. Todd has combined his
expertise in taxation and real estate to help developers, lenders
and investors in the areas of affordable housing utilizing the
low-income housing tax credit and urban revitalization utilizing the
historic rehabilitation and new markets tax credits. Todd has been recognized by
Business North Carolina magazine as one of the Legal Elite in North
Carolina. Todd’s
practice regularly involves the following:
- Represents
developers and lenders in matters related to low-income housing,
historic rehabilitation, renewable energy and new markets tax
credits, as well as other subsidized finance programs.
- Advises
tax credit investors and lenders on Federal and state tax credit
investment matters.
- Works
with public housing authorities, developers and lenders on
large-scale community development matters, renewable energy
facilities and downtown redevelopment projects.
- Advocates
the interests of members of this industry before local, state and
Federal decision-makers.
- Represents
small business owners as “outside” general counsel for business
planning and operational matters.
